I haven’t always loved photography.
In fact, I didn’t pick up a camera formally for the first half of my life. As a kid, I would get impatient when the family would be clicking away on their cameras, and I would wonder why their eyes were glued to the back of those little black boxes.
I remember asking my parents about their SLR film camera, and as I grew through my sea of drugstore disposables, I knew I was onto something... Then when I was 14, everything changed.
Learning to unlock the methods and mindsets behind my camera was transformative. It took me years before I found my creative confidence to explore the benefits of photography beyond operating a camera. Even when I understood the core concepts and practiced the principles for success, I still found myself frustrated with the process of expanding my creativity.
I’m a stubborn, tinkering, creative with messy but meaningful methods. I had no idea these playful approaches were my key to finding creative joy in photography. At first, I thought every failure was the final count-down, but as someone with disabilities, I live a life of refining and re-testing.
Getting started in photography is a pain. I truly understand this pain, and that’s why I created this course. I’ve gathered and boiled down my 15+ years of experience into a simple, approachable solution for your success. Learn through my mistakes, successes, and questions in curiosity to create confidence with your camera!
I can't wait to work with you.
